Monday November 24th

What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Do you have any traditions? Go in to detail about your plans for the 5 day weekend.

This year for Thanksgiving, my family is staying in town, which means my brothers are coming home for awhile! My Grandparents on my mama's side are coming in town, as well as my mama's brother and his family. My mama's brother has a son who is almost a year old and a 4 year old daughter who was born on Christmas. On Wednesday I'm going to my friend's family farm and we'll celebrate a day early. I hope to see the lights at the Plaza with friends as well. I'm looking forward to no homework and sweet potatoes.

Wednesday November 19th

Go out and look up a what all goes on a resume website. What can you find? Include an example image if possible.

On resume websites, I found that years of experience, location, skills, software used, previous jobs, examples of work, and education. I found a really interesting resume website: http://www.anniwang.com/. There may be a little too much information on this website, but it's really fun to navigate this site! Very well done.

Tuesday November 18th

Define 'User Experience'. What does it mean and how does it relate to web design?

User Experience- Experience of a person using a product or service (Example:Computer or Website). While they are using it, think of how easy the website is for a user to navigate. Is there a navigation bar? Are FAQs answered already? Is the site attractive to the viewer? I included a picture of Kate Spade's website because of the simple layout, but fun design.

Monday November 17th

Consider the quote below. What exactly do you think it means and how does it relate to Web Design?

I think this quote is especially true when it comes to html format. A website must not only look good, it must also be functional and easy for the audience to use. If a shopping website has a complicated and unorganized layout, there is a good chance I won't be visiting that site in the future. Most people don't think about the design of a website, but I consider it a make it or break it factor.

Wednesday November 12th

Reflect on your learning this semester so far in this class. Think about the first day you walked in to this room until right now. What have you learned about Web Design? What have you learned beyond Web Design? Explain yourself.

On the first day of class, I knew nothing about web design. When we started our first website, I had no idea how much goes into a website! I learned what HTML and CSS are and what they do to make a website. I also learned how to code, which is extremely complicated! If I had looked at a code before this class, I would have thought it was a different language. I still have a long way to go, but I think knowing a little bit about web design will be beneficial to my future in business.
